Day 23, June 23rd

Rom 8:1-4 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. (3) For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, (4) so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

  1. Walgreens seems to be a great place to witness. We met Hannah there today. As we paid for our items we asked her what she thought about Heaven and how to get there. She said you need to believe God and my daughter quickly told her that you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to have eternal life. We told her the good news of God sending His son in the flesh, that He became flesh, was fully God and fully man, that He lived a perfect life, died for our sins, took the wrath we deserve for our sins and rose again on the third day proving He was who He said and that He was sinless.
She didn't look very happy about it. I asked her where she attended church and she said that she did not go. I asked her why and she quickly said that her parents went to Victory, avoiding my question altogether.
We walked away and once again, my children opened the door for this encounter. We praised God that we were able to share the gospel (the good news FOR us that is NOT about us) with Hannah.

  2. I shared the Gospel today with the Pharmacist at Target. I began by asking how long she had been in Owasso and if she attended church anywhere. She was very honest and admitted that her church attendance was sporadic at best. I went through the Gospel with her and emphasized the resurrection. She was very kind and receptive to my witnessing.

    Blessings,
