  1. Spoke with a guy who just moved to the area. I invited him to Bethel; turns out he grew up Southern Baptist and is Reformed in his understanding of Scripture. God was truly gracious today. I told him all about Bethel and our emphasis on Gospel preaching - spent some time going through the Gospel. Great guy and has a solid understanding of the Gospel. I think we can look forward to him visiting Bethel.

  2. I gave my friend Lisa the gospel today. She and I were teammates on the Univ. of Tulsa womens golf team back in the day. I told her today that there is a remedy for sin. That Christ is the remedy. He died for our sins. He was perfect, He never sinned. He rose again proving He was who He said He was. Proving He was sinless. I told her that we all need this savior. I told her that this is not just something I need to get thru this life. There will be a day when we all die, then the judgement. I told her that Christ is the only way to get to heaven. I am not sure what she thinks. I think she thinks I have lost it because in college I was very different, very much a wild child back then. I will be praying for Lisa. She is living a very different lifestyle now.

  4. I had an opportunity to share the gospel with a 17 year old Hmong girl today (Chooa) who works at Sonic. I asked her what her name was, and when she told me I asked her what her ethnic background was. When she told me she was Hmong (pronounced mon) I asked her if she was a follower of Jesus Christ. She told me, "No," and that she was a follower of "Shamnism." It is primarily spiritism, animism and pantheism. I challenged her to consider that only Jesus Christ had died on the cross in front of undisputable witnesses and had risen from the grave three days later. She then told me that because there was no place here to gather with other Shamans that she occasionally went to church with a friend of hers at a "Bible" church on 76th St. I told her that I hoped it was BCO and then after generously tipping her I encouraged her visit Bethel sometime.
