God's Story vs. Our Stories
The current broadcast from the White Horse Inn-click on the link below to listen.
When sharing the faith with others, do you prefer to discuss the gospel of Christ and related doctrines, or your own personal testimony? That's the question we recently asked at a convention for religious broadcasters, and you might be surprised by the answers we received.

Hey everyone,
ReplyDeleteThis morning I shared the gospel with James, who works at our golf course. He said it takes only one thing to go to heaven, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. We had a great short conversation on the gospel and he told me where he attends church.
My son, James, has a friend over today. He asked him what it takes to go to heaven and this little boy said "you just die".
James gave him the gospel, it was awesome!
Praise Him!
Maggie
Greetings,
ReplyDeleteI got to share with a waitress on Tuesday (havent blogged since then) and had the privilage of prayinig for her early in the conversation. Before we left I asked her what she believed as a Catholic it took to go to Heaven and she said "Oh My, I have to deliever this check". That was the last we saw of her but I trust the Lord will use the question to stir her thinking about eternal things.
I picked up the Church bus today from a shop in Tulsa and had the chance to visit with one of the shop foremen. He is active in a Baptist Church in Sand Springs so our visit though brief was encouraging.
Blessings,
Bro. Bill S.
I have a bit more to write about this little boy who is over at our house today. We took him swimming and then to eat. Bill prayed thru the gospel before lunch and then we spoke with this little boy for an hour about the Lord. He does not go to church anywhere and we have come to find out he lives (on our street) with his aunt and uncle. His folks are gone. He is a sweet boy and Bill really engaged him at lunch and by the pool, about Jesus Christ. You could tell he had never really heard any of these things before. We will be praying for this little guy as well as pursuing a stronger relationship with him, his aunt and uncle.
ReplyDeleteThis going to Jerusalem, right down the street, is really something. Jimmy and Carrie, Josh and Mary, Bro Bill and Mrs. Karen, thank you for the great examples you have been and continue to be, in this.

I shared the Gospel with a college student working the counter at Jamba Juice. Turns out he plans on becoming a Missionary after he graduates from OBU. It was a great conversation and he was very appreciative that I took the time to share with him.
